Sundeep Kadakia

Sundeep Kadakia has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2007. Sundeep began their career at Yahoo! as a QE Manager - Web Experience, where they managed and coordinated Development teams, Product Managers, Database team and IT folks to make a smooth delivery of a major release to production on schedule. Sundeep also designed test metrics monitoring tools to assess bug creation, resolution, and verification progress effectively, and designed and implemented the overall product quality plan (PQP). In 2014, they moved to Walmart eCommerce as a Lead Consultant for Operations, where they owned a critical business component to ensure receipt and ingestion of reliable data feeds. Sundeep implemented several Python scripts to perform tasks, such as, to transform data from Excel (XLS) to tab delimited data files using ‘utf-8’ encoding, download data feeds from FTPS (FTP over TLS) at regular interval and ingest data to Cassandra DB. Sundeep also provided a leadership role in setting up Continuous Integration for building and deploying the builds. In 2015, they returned to Yahoo! as a Lead Consultant, where they were the lead engineer to ensure quality and performance requirements were met for the Identity Management component of YSB (Yahoo! Small Business) organization. Sundeep set up a test framework for NodeJS application using Protractor and Selenium Webdriver to automate UI tests, and automated REST based web service API testing using JerseyClient. In 2016, they joined VoiceBase, Inc. as Senior Manager Quality Engineering.

Sundeep Kadakia received their Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi in 1988. Sundeep then pursued a Master's Degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, which they completed in 1990. Subsequently, they received a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the same university in 1992.
