Laura Wayte has been working in the music industry since 2006. Laura started as an Artist and Teacher at their own company, Laura Wayte Soprano. In 2007, they began working as a Professional Singer, Voice Teacher, and Self-Employed Musician/Music Instructor. From 2009 to 2018, they worked as a Soprano for Eugene Opera and a Vocal Development Director for Oregon Children's Choir, where they developed and implemented their first choir-wide vocal assessment program. In 2013, they sang the role of Nulla in Mundo Pax Sincera for Chamber Music Amici. In 2016, they founded Songs@Tsunami, a recital series at Tsunami Bookstore. Most recently, they have been working at VoiceLessons.com since 2020, where they have held roles as Service Manager, Customer Service Manager, and Teacher Trainer.
Laura Wayte received their Master of Music from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 1996, where they studied Voice and Opera. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy from the University of Vermont.
