Miquel Santasusana's work experience began in 2007 as a Civil Engineer at S.A. de Ingeniería Larix, where they worked until 2010. Miquel then worked as a Site Manager at Bagescon 2002 S.L. from 2010 to 2011. In 2012, they joined CIMNE as a Research Engineer until 2016, specializing in KRATOS DEM-Application development. During this time, they also worked as a Guest Researcher at the Institute of Continuum Mechanics for a brief period in 2015. From 2016 to 2020, they served as the Chief Operations Officer at Domestic Streamers, and later transitioned to the role of Head of R&D and Project Manager until 2018. In 2018, they joined Elisava Escola Universitària de Disseny i Enginyeria de Barcelona as an Associate Professor. Miquel then worked at the European Gravitational Observatory as a Scientific Researcher from 2021 to 2023. Currently, Miquel is serving as a Project Manager at Voicemod, starting in February 2023.
Miquel Santasusana completed their education in a chronological manner. Miquel began in 2005 at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering in 2011. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Numerical Methods for Engineering at the same institution from 2011 to 2013. In 2012, they also attended the Beijing Institute of Technology for a basic language course in Chinese Mandarin. Lastly, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Structural Analysis from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya between 2013 and 2016.
