Nicole Assmann's work experience includes their current role as Medical Director at Voisin Consulting Life Sciences (VCLS) since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Medical Assessor at the UK Department of Health- MHRA starting from 2008. Nicole also served as a Consultant in Anaesthesia at Royal Free Hospital, London from 2006 to 2008. In addition, Nicole worked as a Specialist Registrar in Anaesthesia and Intensive care at North Thames Deanery from 2002 to 2006. Nicole gained experience as a Clinical & Research Fellow at Toronto Western Hospital, University of Toronto from 2005 to 2006. Before that, they worked as a Research Fellow in Hygiene/ Infection Control at Freie Universitaet Berlin from 1995 to 1998. Their career began as an Intern in General Medicine/ Gastroenterology at St Joseph Hospital from 1992 to 1995.

Nicole Assmann completed their Abitur from Robert Schuman Gymnasium, Saarlouis. After that, they pursued a State Exam in Medicine from Freie Universität Berlin. Nicole further obtained a PhD in Medicine with a specialization in Colorectal cancer from Freie Universität Berlin. Nicole then went on to complete their FRCA from the Royal College of Anaesthetists. Following this, they attended the University of Toronto as a Clinical and Research Fellow for a year. Finally, they completed their Master's Degree in Drug Development Sciences from King's College London.
