Kassoum Nacro

Kassoum Nacro is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in academia and the biotechnology industry. Currently serving as the Director of Chemistry at Volastra Therapeutics since January 2022, Kassoum previously held the position of Head of Discovery Chemistry at the Experimental Drug Development Centre from April 2009 to December 2021. Additionally, Kassoum contributed to the academic field as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the NTU-Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine from June 2013 to March 2019. Earlier roles include Senior Research Scientist at Albany Molecular Research and Assistant Professor at Georgetown University, along with a Visiting Fellow position at the National Cancer Institute. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and Organic Synthesis, a Graduate Diploma of Advanced Study in Biomolecules and Applications, a Master of Science in Enzymology, Molecular Biology, and Organic Chemistry, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry, all from Université Paul Sabatier (Toulouse III).
