Sarah Newman

Sarah Newman has a strong background in sales and management. Sarah is currently working as a Regional Sales Director at Volio Imports since May 2019. Prior to this, they held positions at Votto Vines Importing Inc. as the Southeast Regional Sales Manager from January 2018 to April 2019, and as the Regional Sales Manager for North Carolina from August 2017 to April 2019. Sarah also has experience as an Adjunct Professor at The Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham from April 2017 to March 2019. Before that, they worked as a Sales Representative at Orsini Wines from September 2016 to August 2017, and as a Sales Representative at Empire Distributors, Inc. from January 2014 to August 2016. Sarah's earlier experiences include roles as a Bar Captain/Sommelier at The Angus Barn from September 2012 to January 2014, as the Owner/Instructor at Drinking Outside the Box from April 2012 to August 2013, as a Bartender at Weathervane at A Southern Season from August 2012 to January 2013, as a Manager at P. J. Clarke's Sidecar from August 2011 to February 2012, and as a Hospitality Manager at Symphony Space from February 2010 to August 2011.

Sarah Newman attended Duke University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned their AB degree in Visual Art and Art History. Following this, they pursued a Masters of Arts degree in Art Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art from 2007 to 2008. Later, in 2010 to 2012, they obtained a Wine and Spirits Educations Trust Advanced degree from the International Wine Center. In 2013, Sarah became a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers.
