Abubakr Raban

Abubakr Raban has extensive experience in the automotive industry, currently serving as the Regional After Sales Manager at Volkswagen Group South Africa since November 2005. In this role, Abubakr contributes to the implementation of Aftersales Strategic Focus Areas and provides specialized consulting services to the regional dealer network. Previously held positions include Dealer Training Manager and Training Academy Manager, where Abubakr developed and implemented integrated Talent Management Strategies for the VW Group South Africa Dealer Network, ensuring personnel competence through assessments, recruitment, training, and development. Earlier career roles include Supervisor Service Training and Product Support Specialist at Volkswagen, as well as Electronics Technician in Training at Continental Tyres SA and Technician at Audio Creation. Abubakr holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management from Mancosa and a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University.
