John Potgieter

John Potgieter is an experienced automotive professional with a strong background in engineering and operations. Currently serving as a Senior Product Engineer at Volkswagen of South Africa (Pty) Ltd since November 2015, John is actively involved in the new Polo VW270 project and is responsible for ensuring production line readiness. Previously, John held positions in operations at Force Automation from December 2010 to 2015 and as a Senior Project Engineer at Volkswagen of South Africa from March 2005 to December 2010. Earlier in the career, John was the Lead Engineer at Workhorse Custom Chassis from September 2002 to December 2004. John Potgieter holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in automotive management from Port Elizabeth Technikon, having studied at Daniel Pienaar.
