Dr. H. C. Antonio Roberto Cortes

Dr. h. c. Antonio Roberto Cortes has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dr. h. c. Antonio Roberto started their career as an Entregador at Banco Mercantil de São Paulo S.A. in 1968 and worked there until 1979. Dr. h. c. Antonio Roberto then joined Ford Brasil as a Trainee from 1979 to 1987. After that, they became the Gerente financeiro at Autolatina from 1987 to 1995. Following this, they worked at Volkswagen do Brasil as the Diretor de controladoria e tesouraria from 1995 to 1997. Dr. h. c. Antonio Roberto then joined Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus, where they held various positions including Head of the company, Membro da VWN, Membro da VWKN, Membro da VW Truck & Bus, and Membro do Board MAN SE. Dr. h. c. Antonio Roberto was also the Presidente e CEO of Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus. In 2018, they became a Membro do Executivo Board da TRATON SE, which they are currently serving.

Dr. h. c. Antonio Roberto Cortes completed the Programa de Gestão Avançada at INSEAD in 1996. Dr. h. c. Antonio Roberto also earned a Pós-graduação Lato Sensu - Especialização in Finance from Centro Universitário do Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia in 1979 and a Bachelor's degree in Economic Sciences from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie in 1979. Additionally, they were awarded an honorary Doctorate degree from Centro Universitário Dom Bosco do Rio de Janeiro.
