Alena Kretzberg

Alena Kretzberg currently serves as a Member of the Board and Chief Information Officer at Volkswagen Financial Services since March 2023. In addition, Alena holds a position on the Supervisory Board of Börse Stuttgart since July 2021. Previously, Alena was a Divisional Board Member at Commerzbank AG from April 2019 to February 2023, leading initiatives in Digital Banking and Group Digital Transformation & Strategy. Alena's leadership experience includes roles such as Chairman of the Supervisory Board for both Commerz Direktservice GmbH and Neugelb Studios GmbH, as well as various supervisory board positions across other organizations. Prior to this, Alena was a Partner at McKinsey & Company from September 2001 to April 2019, specializing in digital solutions. Alena Kretzberg holds a PhD in Economics from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, a Diplom-Kauffrau from EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from James Madison University.
