Dr. Julian Timpner

Dr. Julian Timpner currently serves as Head of Integration & Verification at Group Engineering IT and Head of Automotive CI Platform at Volkswagen Group, overseeing a subdepartment with a budget responsibility of 7 million euros annually. With a strong background in engineering and technology, Dr. Timpner has previously held positions including Head of E/E Integration Processes & Methods and Executive Assistant for Strategy and Special Projects, where responsibilities included committee work at the board level and oversight of a substantial budget. Prior experience includes a research role at Technische Universität Braunschweig, focusing on an EU-funded project to develop automated valet parking systems, culminating in a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Dr. Timpner holds multiple degrees in Computer Science from Technische Universität Braunschweig and has also gained experience at UC San Diego.
