Peter Mayer

Peter Mayer is an experienced professional in the fields of data science and machine learning, currently serving as Product Lead for Generative AI Services at Volkswagen Group since July 2016, and as a Lecturer in Machine Learning Operations at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München since April 2024. Peter has previously held positions including Senior Data Scientist at AutoVision GmbH, Data Scientist at Alexander Thamm GmbH, and Research Assistant at HelmholtzZentrum München, where Peter contributed to algorithm implementation in R and C++. Peter's early career includes roles as a Data Analyst at BEC Solar, where simulation of photovoltaic module performance was a focus, along with internships at Allianz Life and Allianz Group, contributing to statistical analysis and project leadership. Peter holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
