Arnav Malawade

Arnav Malawade, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Volkswagen of America, Inc since August 2023. Prior to this role, Arnav was a Graduate Research Assistant at UC Irvine from January 2016 to June 2023, where expertise was demonstrated in graph-learning and dynamic deep learning architectures for autonomous systems, as well as in energy-efficient edge-cloud offloading and secure communication methods. Additional experience includes roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, where Arnav taught and supervised projects in electrical engineering and computer science, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant focusing on machine learning applications for modeling manufacturing system emissions. Internships at HRL Laboratories, Amazon Global Selling, and Amazon Web Services involved machine learning algorithm development, cloud-native architecture migration, and metric visualization integration. Arnav holds a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from UC Irvine, complemented by a Master of Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the same institution.
