Tommy Fransson

Tommy Fransson is a Data Scientist Lead at Volkswagen of America, Inc since May 2019, specializing in sales controlling and analytics, where a financial analytics platform was developed to enhance reporting efficiency. Previously, from February 2011 to March 2019, Tommy served as a Researcher in Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Technology at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, contributing to inter-disciplinary research projects and overseeing master's thesis students. Tommy's earlier experience includes a tenure as a System Engineer and Software Developer at HiQ from January 2007 to February 2011, where roles included technical consulting and leadership as Team Leader and Scrum Master for a software development team at Ericsson AB. Tommy holds a Master of Science degree in Electronics, Control Systems, and Physics from Linköping University, obtained between 2001 and 2006.
