Michele Farquharson has held several roles throughout their work experience. Michele started at Greater Camden Partnership in 2010 as a Management Intern, where they researched the viability of a Public Market and prepared briefing documents for an Urban Land Institute site-visit. In 2010, they also worked as a Management Intern at Omicron Delta Kappa National Headquarters, where they coordinated the production and distribution of publications and managed administrative tasks.
In 2011, Farquharson joined Teach For America as a Corps Member, serving as a High School Math Teacher. Michele collaborated with department and district partners to develop AP-aligned curriculums and achieved a 95% student pass rate for the Exit Level Mathematics TAKS exam.
From 2014 to 2017, they worked as an Events and Experience Manager at Naked Mountain Winery & Vineyard. In this role, they developed operational procedures, created an event pricing model, and optimized event management.
In 2014, Farquharson joined Betamore as the Director of Education. Michele focused on making Baltimore a global entrepreneurship destination and advanced impactful initiatives across the organization.
Since 2017, they have been working at VOLO, starting as the National Partnerships Director, where they supported the expansion and growth efforts of each city. Their responsibilities included managing partnerships, curating corporate membership opportunities, overseeing events, and supporting local operations. In February 2021, they became the National Director of Sports Product, and in November 2021, they were promoted to Vice President.

Michele Farquharson received their High School Diploma from McDonogh School in 2007. Michele went on to attend Washington and Lee University from 2007 to 2011, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree from the Williams School of Commerce. Their major field of study at Washington and Lee University was Political Science and Government.
In addition to their academic degrees, Michele Farquharson obtained a Texas Educator Certificate in Mathematics (Grades 8-12) from the Texas Education Agency in June 2012.
