Marketing Social Host at Volo City

Rene Hidalgo has gained diverse work experience over the years. They started as a customer service specialist and valet at California Parking Company from July 2018 to July 2019. Subsequently, they became a Valet Manager/Operations Management Assistant at the same company from July 2019 to March 2020. After that, they interned at the SF Latino Task Force from September to December 2021, where they assisted in outreach efforts and provided support to community members. From September 2021 to May 2022, they worked on a sports social media marketing campaign at Holy Names University, creating digital marketing campaigns for different sports programs. Rene then joined Bay Area Community Resources (BACR) as a Social Media Marketing Manager, specializing in creating and monitoring digital marketing campaigns across various platforms from January to September 2022. They also had a fellowship as a Political Marketing and Paid Media Fellow at 50+1 Strategies, LLC from August to November 2022, where they loaded and monitored video and static campaigns and conducted market research. In January to February 2023, Rene interned as a Tech Public Relations Intern at The Hoffman Agency, where they assisted with media monitoring, media relations, and new business pitches. Recently, they have been involved in event operations at San Jose Earthquakes Soccer and marketing social host responsibilities at Volo Sports since March 2023, assisting with the planning, implementation, and coordination of events, promoting events through social media, executing fundraising activities, and ensuring a quality experience throughout the league.

Rene Hidalgo's education history began in 2016 when they attended Skyline College and pursued an Associate Degree in Sociology. They completed this degree in 2019. Following this, from 2020 to 2022, Rene attended Holy Names University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing. In 2022, they completed their undergraduate degree and continued their education at Holy Names University to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Marketing/Marketing Management, General. This program is expected to conclude in 2023.
