Emerson Xu

Emerson Xu currently serves as the Head of China at Volocopter, focusing on urban air mobility initiatives since April 2021. Concurrently, Emerson holds the position of Major in the Singapore Armed Forces, managing manpower for the Transport Formation under the Ministry of Defense. Prior experience includes a role as Deputy Manager at the Land Transport Authority (LTA) Singapore, where responsibilities involved advancing the autonomous vehicle ecosystem, and leadership of drone operations within the LTA Drone Task Force. Emerson's earlier career features project engineering roles in major railway projects and internships at renowned organizations such as Herrenknecht AG and Keppel FELS Ltd. Educational qualifications include a forthcoming Executive Development Programme from Singapore Management University and a Master of Public Administration from Nanyang Technological University, among other degrees in civil engineering and EU-ASEAN relations.
