Christye Watkins, CSCS, has worked in the fitness industry since 2012. From 2012-2015, they were the Owner/Personal Trainer at Ground Floor Fitness, where they were a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). At this role, they created individualized, periodized strength & conditioning plans for clients, developed a successful business and marketing strategy, demonstrated safe and effective exercise techniques, and personalized training for special populations.

In this role, they owned the product roadmap, created product feature/value prop documentation for internal and external comms, collaborated with marketing, sales, and customer support/success to identify product improvement areas, led the product design/UX team, and conducted customer interviews and user/beta testing studies to vet solutions.
In 2018, Christye Watkins, CSCS, became the Head of Training Experience (User Experience) at Volt Athletics. As part of the product steering committee, they investigated user needs to design and build solutions that solved customers' problems. Christye drew on their skillset as a user experience designer and their experience as a strength & conditioning specialist to lead efforts across the design-to-dev pipeline, including user research and problem exploration, usability testing, solution vetting and design, product roadmapping, requirements documentation, and final UX/UI deliverables.
Finally, Christye Watkins, CSCS, also worked as a Sport Performance Specialist (Content & UX) at Volt Athletics. As an SME with a writing background, they helped develop and hone Volt's brand voice across marketing channels and throughout the customer experience inside the product. Her role evolved to focus on UX writing and research as the company diversified its product offerings and customer base.
Christye Watkins, CSCS has an education history that includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English Literature + Creative Writing (Double Major) from Seattle Pacific University, obtained in 2009. In 2020, they completed a UX Design program at the School of Visual Concepts, and obtained a User Experience Certificate. In 2015, they obtained their Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In 2012, they obtained their Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) from the American College of Sports Medicine.
