Justin Castagna has over 20 years of professional experience, starting their career in 1992 as a Soldier in the Australian Defence Force - Army. In 1998, they moved to Watson Wyatt as a Fund Accountant, where they were responsible for Corporate Superannuation Funds, preparing and lodging statutory financial reports, and liaising with stakeholders. In 2002, they worked as a DIY Fund Accountant at Perpetual, where they were involved in the establishment, transition, and winding up of funds. In 2004, they worked at AMP as a Senior Life Accountant/Green Belt. In 2006, they moved to RBC Dexia Investor Services as a Senior Fund Accountant (Projects). In 2007, they worked at St George Bank as a Process Improvements Manager. From 2008-2014, they worked at JPMorgan Chase in various roles, including Manager - Financial Reporting, Assistant Vice President - Investment Analytics, and Performance Analyst. In 2015, they were a Founding Partner at a Financial Institution Startup, where they worked on exploratory projects related to strategy, operations, and analytics. Finally, in 2017, they joined Volt Bank as a Financial Analyst, where they used technology and data analytics to provide customers with an innovative banking experience.

Justin Castagna has a diverse educational background. Justin began their studies in 1993 at the University of New England (AU), where they earned a B.Fin.Admin in Accounting. In 1998, they completed their CPA from CPA Australia. In 2005, they completed a Course in Six Sigma - Green Belt from Pragmatic Improvement. From 2006 to 2007, they completed Internal Courses from RBC Dexia Investor Services. In 2007, they completed Microsoft Access from Wall to Wall Computer Services. In 2014, they completed Predictive Analytics and Data Science from Presciient Consulting Courses. Most recently, they earned a Masters of Applied Statistics in Mathematical Statistics and Probability from Macquarie Univesity.
