João Albuquerque is a Co-Founder and CTO at Volt Games, a position held since January 2020. Prior to this role, João served as a Researcher at Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (FCT NOVA) from March 2017 to September 2019, where research focused on Big Data Computations and a thesis on the Automatic Detection of Green Permanent Vegetation using Remote Sensing Data. João holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering from FCT NOVA, earned between 2014 and 2019.
