Charlie Gilbert has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Charlie is currently working as the Head of Content and Brand Communications at Volt.io since September 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Content Lead at the same company from August 2021 to September 2022.
Before joining Volt.io, Charlie worked at Enterprise Nation as the Head of Content from September 2020 to July 2021.
From February 2017 to August 2020, Charlie served as the Brand & Content Marketing Manager at Stylus Innovation + Advisory. In this role, they were responsible for establishing the company's content marketing strategy and overseeing a global brand refresh.
In 2014, Charlie founded Indigo East, a travel company that offered ATOL-protected trips with locally owned travel companies in India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan. Charlie led the company until January 2017.
Charlie started their career as a Brand Copywriter at Jellyfish from July 2014 to November 2016. Prior to that, they worked as an Online Editor at Discover the World from April 2013 to January 2014 and at Stanfords from September 2012 to March 2013.
From April 2010 to September 2012, Charlie served as the Content Operations Manager at Snack Media. Here, they managed a team of writers and successfully secured Skyscanner as a client.
Charlie began their professional journey at Axonn Media, where they worked as a DirectNews Correspondent from September 2008 to April 2010. In this role, they delivered news stories for various clients and gained experience in online journalism, copywriting, and building client relationships.
Charlie Gilbert attended Queen Mary University of London from 2005 to 2008. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Journalism and Contemporary History.
