Bharat Lamba began their career in 2010 as an Analyst in Interest Rate Trading at Futures First Info. Services Pvt. Ltd. Bharat then joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2013, where they served as an Associate and later as an Assistant Vice President until 2017.

In 2017, Bharat Lamba joined HSBC and held various roles, including Assistant Vice President, Vice President, and Associate Director, Counterparty Portfolio Manager. In these roles, they managed XVA portfolios, structured and priced hedging solutions, and managed derivative exposures originating from all asset classes. Bharat worked on credit hedging and market hedging through credit default swaps, index CDS, credit-linked notes, and various hedging methods such as foreign exchange, rates, and options. Bharat'stenure at HSBC lasted until 2022.

From 2020 onwards, Bharat Lamba became an Angel Investor in several companies, including Fitso (Acquired by Zomato), PropReturns, Reevoy, Glamplus, Carelan, Kohbee, WeSkill, and WOWBox.

Most recently, in 2022, Bharat Lamba co-founded VOLT, a company focused on helping investors retain their financial assets for long-term wealth creation. As the Co-Founder and CBO, they aim to provide easy access to liquidity against financial assets at affordable pricing. This is their current role.

Bharat Lamba completed their Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Textile Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Bharat attended this institute from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Bharat also obtained a certification in CFA Level 2 from the CFA Institute.
