Sander Vonk

At Volta, Sander is working out of our Amsterdam office with the team responsible for the Dutch investments. He has been investing well over a decade and holds several board positions. Amongst others he led the investments in AxonIQ, Ecochain, Blanco, BITA, Gameye, Spotr, TerminusDB and Widget Brain. Recent exits are Metrological to Comcast, CloudSense to Vector, Widget Brain to Quinyx and Vamp to CircleCI.

Before joining Volta, Sander managed the EMEA investments for Liberty Global Ventures as a VP / Partner overseeing technology investments in the region. Liberty Global Ventures is a global investment fund with a diverse portfolio of 40 companies in content, technology, internet, and distribution. Some of the companies Sander invested in are Metrological, CloudSense and Technetix.

Sander started his career deploying ERP systems throughout Europe moving from European hub to hub before settling back in Amsterdam. He was part of the founding corporate venture business services team creating a new line of business services for Liberty. Sander has an MSc in Economics and an MBA from the University of Amsterdam.

More recently, Sander lived in Singapore with his family and is now settling back in Heemstede, the Netherlands, where he enjoys cycling and is not so much enjoying Dutch weather.
