Alex Kane has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Alex is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Volta XR, a self-serve XR creation platform that allows artists to design and broadcast experiential content in the metaverse. Previously, Alex worked as a musician, producer, and sound designer in a freelance capacity for over a decade. Alex also held the position of Vice President of Marketing at Charity Charge, a Public Benefit Corporation focused on enabling positive impact through everyday purchases. Additionally, Alex worked as a partner, designer, and marketing manager at Reach Collective, where they managed online marketing for musicians and creative brands. Alex also worked as an Expert in Residence for the Director of Acquisition at Beta Brand during their time at General Assembly. Beyond these roles, Alex has gained experience as an intern at Stanford Peace Innovation Lab and served as a Master of Digital Marketing student at Hult International Business School. Furthermore, they were an organizer for TEDxHult and worked as a freelance music composer for International Creative Management (ICM). Earlier in their career, Alex held an internship role at Senate Majority Press Office - State Capital, where they assisted with writing editorials and press releases, as well as public relations tasks.
Alex Kane has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado Boulder, which was obtained from 2004 to 2008. They also pursued a Masters degree in Marketing at Hult International Business School from 2011 to 2012. Alex furthered their education by completing a Master of Arts degree in Global Innovation Design at the Royal College of Art and a Master of Science degree in Global Innovation Design at Imperial College London, both from 2017 to 2019.
