Gala Murray has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Gala began their career in 1997 as a Clinical Services Coordinator at The Guidance Center, where they coordinated clinical services until 2010. In 1993, Gala joined the Tennessee Air National Guard and served as a Civil Engineer Unit Training Manager until 2012. Gala then transitioned to Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System, where they held various roles. Gala started as the Coordinator of Performance and Outcome Measures from 2010 to 2016, responsible for reviewing and monitoring compliance, measuring compliance with criteria, and developing reports. Gala was promoted to Vice President of Compliance & Oversight in 2016, overseeing the establishment and implementation of an effective compliance program. Gala later became the Senior Vice President of Compliance & Oversight in 2019 and is currently the Chief Compliance Officer at Volunteer Behavioral Health Care System.
Gala Murray received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) from 1983 to 1987.

Our Mission is to serve individuals, families and communities through prevention, treatment and recovery services, ensuring that help today leads to a better tomorrow. Volunteer offers outpatient services to adults, children, and families. Services include: individual, family, marital and group therapy; evaluations and assessments; crisis response and respite; specialized programs for children and families; services for the severally/persistently mentally ill; physician/psychiatric medication management; alcohol and drug abuse treatment and prevention/education; Employee Assistance Programs and Behavioral Wellness Seminars. Volunteer operates two of the three Crisis Stabilization Units and Walk-In Clinics for behavioral health issues in the State of Tennessee. One is located in Cookeville and the other in Chattanooga.
