Brian Redd

Board Member at Volunteers of America, Utah

Brian Redd is a Vice President with Goldman Sachs where he uses data analytics to identify and investigate careless or malicious behavior that may put the firm and clients at risk. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business from Utah State University and Master of Public Administration from Brigham Young University. In 2021, Brian retired from a 20-year law enforcement career with the Utah Department of Public Safety, where he served as chief of the State Bureau of Investigation. In his role, he helped establish the Department’s first victim services program, a refugee outreach initiative, and the Department’s first community engagement team—combining the efforts of state troopers, social workers, and victim advocates. During his tenure, he served on Utah’s Crime Victim Council, Refugee Board of Advisors, and Controlled Substances Advisory Committee. Brian worked closely with the VOA during Operation Rio Grande—seeking better ways to serve vulnerable populations. He looks forward to continuing those efforts.
