Laura Mercer

Laura Mercer is a dedicated mental health professional currently serving as a Mental Health Counselor at Volunteers of America, Utah since January 2023. Previous experience includes roles as a Mental Health Therapist at the Utah Department of Corrections, and various positions at First Step House, such as Mental Health Counselor and Clinician Case Manager. Laura started in the mental health field as an intern, demonstrating a strong commitment to the profession. Prior to focusing on mental health, Laura held management and operational roles at Old Navy and Gap Inc./Old Navy, and gained customer service experience at Red Lobster and Mimis Cafe. Laura earned a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Westminster University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Utah.
