Sofia M. is an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience in managing HR functions across various organizations. Currently serving as the Area HR Manager at Volunteers of America since July 2018, Sofia oversees HR operations for three sites and six hundred employees, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, and compliance. Previously, Sofia held the position of Director of Human Resources at Gulf Coast Village, where responsibilities included talent acquisition and employee benefits management. As Chief Human Resources Officer at HealthLinc Community Health Center, strategic partnerships with senior leadership aimed at reducing turnover and forecasting staffing needs. Sofia holds an Associate's degree in Accounting and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Calumet College of St. Joseph. Retired as of April 12, 2024.
