Vicki Karr

Vicki Karr currently serves as the Assistant Director of Public Affairs and Media Relations at the Volusia Sheriff's Office since February 2025. Prior to this role, Vicki worked as the Public Safety PIO for the City of DeLand from January 2023 to February 2025. Vicki's experience in journalism includes positions as a reporter at FOX 35 Orlando from 2019 to 2022 and KOLD News 13 from 2017 to 2019, where responsibilities involved live coverage of events and community issues. Earlier in the career, Vicki was an Online News Producer at Waterman Broadcasting from March 2013 to August 2017 and held the position of Page Designer/Copy Editor at the Gainesville Sun for a brief period in 2012. Vicki earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Florida and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Florida SouthWestern State College.
