James Gillette has a diverse work experience in the IT industry. James started their career as a Lead IT Consultant at Helpdesk Central - CIS - TAMU in 2009 and worked there until 2012. In this role, they managed the Helpdesk Central Service Desk and was responsible for phone support, in-person IT consultation, and managing staff in all three departments.
After that, they joined College Of Architecture - TAMU as a Senior IT Associate in 2012 and stayed there until 2014. In this role, they provided hardware and software support in the College, including classroom support, maintenance of open access computers, and hardware procurement. James also mentored student technicians and interns on IT best practices.
Following their time at the College of Architecture, James worked at the Integrated Ocean Drilling Program (IODP) as a Helpdesk Manager - IT Professional II from 2014 to 2016. At IODP, they were responsible for managing the helpdesk and providing IT support.
Currently, James is working at Volusion, LLC as an IT Operations - Helpdesk Manager, a position they have held since 2016.
