Kayode Alao

Kayode Alao has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Kayode currently works at Amazon as a Senior Construction Category Manager, a role they have held since February 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded Volvero in February 2020. Before that, they served as the Sr. Regional Procurement - Europe at Danone & GEA from an unspecified period in 2020 until 2022. From 2018 to 2020, they were the Procurement Lead Italy (Real Estate & Workplace Services) at EY. Kayode also worked as a Procurement and Contracts Engineer at Webbild from 2016 to 2018 and as a Civil Design Engineer at Maccaferri in 2015. In the earlier years of their career, they worked as a Researcher - Civil Engineer at the University of Cape Town from January 2013 to June 2015, and as a Civil Engineer at Savannah Contractors Nigeria Limited from 2010 to 2013.

Kayode Alao has a Master's degree in International Construction Management (cum laude) from Politecnico di Milano. Kayode also holds a Master of Science in Engineering (M.Sc.(Eng)) in Civil Engineering from the University of Cape Town. Prior to their master's degrees, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng Hons.) in Civil Engineering from the Federal University of Technology Akure.
