Ilne van der Westhuizen

Ilne van der Westhuizen is a highly experienced patent attorney currently serving as a Senior Associate at Von Seidels since February 2021, having previously held roles as a Patent Attorney and Candidate Attorney with the firm from January 2014 to July 2019. Ilne completed a PhD in Chemistry at the University of Stellenbosch, focusing on the solid-state dynamics of porous materials, and gained additional experience as a trainee at the European Radiation Synchrotron Facility. Academic qualifications include an LLB cum laude from the University of South Africa and multiple degrees in Chemistry, including a BSc cum laude, from Stellenbosch University.
