Chris Blechschmidt

Chris Blechschmidt has extensive experience in the finance industry, with a focus on cash management and treasury roles. Chris currently serves as the Head of Cashmanagement at Vonovia since January 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Treasurer at Vonovia from July 2020 to December 2022. Before joining Vonovia, Chris worked at GEA Group as Treasurer from June 2016 to June 2020. Chris also gained experience at Commerzbank AG, where they worked as a Project Business Analyst and Specialist in Management for Assets and Derivatives from June 2014 to May 2016. Additionally, they served as an Exchange Cooperator at AIESEC in Mainland of China in August and September 2015. Chris began their career at Commerzbank AG, where they held various roles including Business Client Consultant, Private Client Consultant, and completed training as a Qualified Bank Officer from August 2008 to February 2014.

Chris Blechschmidt has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Accounting and Finance, obtained from Mercator School of Management during the period of 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, Chris completed a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Management and Economics at Ruhr University Bochum from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Chris had a brief experience in Corporate Management at Tongji-University Shanghai in 2013. Chris also holds a certification as a Certified Treasury Professional from the Association for Financial Professionals, although the year of obtaining this certification is unknown.
