Joren de Koning

VP of Platform Partnerships at VONQ

Joren de Koning has a diverse and extensive work experience. From 2017 to the present, they have been working at VONQ, starting as the Alliance Manager where they established the partnership management function and created the first partner program. Joren later became the Director of Publisher Partnerships, where they revolutionized the partnership landscape and spearheaded the partnership and acquisition of a job distribution company. After that, they served as the Director of Channel Sales, managing a purchasing and administrative team and scaling global job publisher partnerships. Currently, they hold the position of VP of Platform Partnerships.

In 2020, Joren became a member of Partnership Leaders (PL), an exclusive association for Partnership, Channel, Alliances, and Business Development leaders.

Before VONQ, Joren worked at Lightspeed POS as the Platform Partnerships Manager from 2015 to 2017. Joren strategically sourced and onboarded partners, contributed to the successful rollout of new products, and achieved revenue targets.

Prior to that, Joren owned and operated their own business development venture, de Koning Business Development, from 2009 to 2017. During this time, they played a key role in expanding HRcommunity, a platform connecting HR professionals, and contributed to establishing an online store for Wijnhuis Heemstede, a family-owned brick-and-mortar wine retail business.

Joren also gained experience as a Graduate intern in Mergers & Acquisitions at Quintis bv in 2012 and held various positions at Microsoft and PRO|file from 2007 to 2010, including Operations Advisor, Project Manager, and Trainee.

Joren de Koning's education history begins in 2001 when they attended Eemland College. Joren completed their HAVO Degree in Economics and Society in 2005. In 2006, they enrolled in Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and earned a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management in 2010. Following that, in 2010, Joren pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Strategy and Organization from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam), completing it in 2012. Recently, in 2020, they enrolled in the Quantic School of Business and Technology to pursue an Executive MBA in Business Administration and Management, General.
