Alan English has a diverse work experience in brand development and marketing. Alan started their career in 2003 as a Marketing Manager at Taracorp, where they oversaw new product packaging design and managed advertising efforts for Dutch Boy® hand torches and solder. Alan then worked at Newell Rubbermaid, where they served as a Marketing Communications Specialist and later as an Electronic Communication Manager, creating and implementing global branding standards. Alan joined Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. in 2007 and held various roles including Product Manager, Sr. Brand Manager for Industrial Distribution, and Group Brand Manager for Industrial & Automotive, overseeing marketing activities and managing budgets for multiple brands. Alan worked at Fortive as the Director of Brand Development & Marketing Communication for Veeder-Root before moving to their current position at Vontier, where they serve as the Senior Director of Global Brand Experience.
Alan English has a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies, as well as Political Science, from Wake Forest University, which they earned from 1999 to 2003. Alan also holds an MA in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, achieved from 2004 to 2005. Additionally, Alan obtained another MA in Political Science from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2005. Prior to their university education, they attended the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics from 1997 to 1999.
