Mohammad Niknami has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Mohammad most recently worked at VoPay as the CFO, where they managed the financial strategy and oversaw various functions including accounting, business support, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and internal audit. Mohammad also ensured compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations and handled tax planning and asset management.

Prior to this, Mohammad worked as a Controller at Thomas FX Group Inc., where they performed full-cycle accounting and financial duties. Mohammad interacted with senior executives internally and communicated with external stakeholders such as vendors, customers, banks, and financing companies to negotiate terms and resolve discrepancies.

Before that, they served as the CFO of Canadian Carpet and Tile Inc. and as a Special Projects Financial Officer at the Public Guardian and Trustee of BC (Ministry of Attorney General). Mohammad gained experience in various accounting roles, including Senior Accountant at Westline Communication Inc. and Executive Director at Palm International Trading FZC.

Additionally, they worked as an Auditor in Tehran, Iran, where they were responsible for audit tasks and provided technical accounting assistance on management consulting assignments. Mohammad also spent time at the University of Economic Sciences in Tehran, Iran.

Mohammad began their educational journey in 1988 and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Economic Sciences in 1992. Mohammad further pursued their studies and earned a Master's Degree in Accounting from the University of Tehran between 1992 and 1995.

In order to enhance their professional knowledge and skills, Mohammad Niknami pursued the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) program in Canada from 2006 to 2015, ultimately achieving the CPA, CGA designation. This program allowed him to gain expertise in various areas such as accounting, finance, and management.

In addition to their academic achievements, Mohammad Niknami has obtained several certifications to further demonstrate their expertise. Mohammad obtained the QuickBooks Online Advanced Certification from Intuit in January 2017. Prior to that, in January 2015, they became certified as a FreshBooks accountant, bookkeeper, and consultant. Furthermore, they obtained the QuickBooks Online Certified ProAdvisor certification from Intuit, though the specific month is unspecified, in 2013.
