David Phillips

David Phillips has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on quality control and management. David most recently served as the Senior Vice President and Head of Quality at Vor Bio since April 2023. Prior to that, they spent three years at Beam Therapeutics as the Vice President and Head of Quality. From 2019 to 2020, they were the Vice President and Head of Quality at Kiniksa Pharmaceuticals, where they were responsible for overseeing quality processes and relationships with external partners. Before that, David held the position of Vice President of Quality at Shire from 2013 to 2019, where they focused on biologics production and disposable single-use production systems. David also has experience in contract manufacturing organizations, having worked as a Director at Lonza Biologics Singapore from 2007 to 2013 and as a Senior Manager at VaxGen from 2005 to 2007. David began their career in the biotech industry, holding positions at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, Fortron Bio-Science, and Syngenta Seeds. Overall, David's diverse work experience spans a range of roles and responsibilities within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.

David Phillips obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry from North Carolina State University, where they studied from 1993 to 1996. Later, from 2001 to 2004, they pursued an MBA in New Product Development from the same university.
