David J. Yáñez Villarreal has had a diverse career in the technology industry. In 2007, they began working as a Researcher at CSIC. In 2008, they co-founded DEUTECNO, an intensive R&D company dedicated to the development of electronic devices and the manufacture of small series according to specifications set out by the research centers and customers. David J. was the winner of the 2012 Repsol Foundation Entrepreneus Fund Award for the Vortex Bladeless project. David J. also co-founded DEUTECNO N&S, a division of DEUTECNO dedicated to the development of artificial noses in close collaboration with the GNB of the UAM. David J. was the winner of the 2011 Iberoamerican Summit Award and the 2010 Everis Foundation Entrepreneurs Award. In 2013, they founded VORTEX BLADELESS, an intensive R&D company dedicated to the development and marketing of devices able to capture the wind kinetic energy by vortex shedding, transforming it into other useful forms of energy.
David J. Yáñez Villarreal has a Master of Engineering in Information Technology and Telecommunications in Natural Computing from the Autonomous University of Madrid, as well as a degree in Industrial Engineering with an emphasis in Electronics and Automation from the University of Valladolid.
