Gustavo Sato Dos Santos

Gustavo is Head of Predictions & Market Modelling at Vortexa, and has extensive academic experience in statistical modelling and applied Machine Learning.

Prior to Vortexa, Gustavo worked as a researcher in computational neuroscience and medical imaging and as a quantitative analyst in high-frequency trading firms specialised in commodity markets. To date, Gustavo has had over 20 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Gustavo holds a Bachelors and Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a PhD in Engineering from the University of Tokyo. In 2010, he received a prestigious research fellowship award from RIKEN Brain Science Institute in Japan.
