John Bernstein

John Bernstein's work experience begins with their current position as a Software Engineer at VOX Funding, which they started in January 2022.

From April 2019 to September 2021, John worked as a Service Team Associate at Legacy Advisors. In this role, they supported and implemented the service needs of clients, including onboarding new clients, performing money movements, executing client-directed trades, and maintaining reporting systems for complex investments.

Prior to Legacy Advisors, John worked at BNY Mellon | Pershing as a Managed Accounts professional from June 2018 to April 2019. Their responsibilities included processing transactions for managed investments clients, reviewing and flagging transactions based on risk-management criteria, and performing excel spreadsheet tasks and ADV processing.

Before their time at BNY Mellon | Pershing, John was a Merchandise Associate at Crate and Barrel from June 2014 to December 2018. John worked with a team to assist in storefront logistics, interacted with clients to fulfill orders, and maintained inventory.

In 2017, John held a Process Improvement Internship role at First Data Corporation, specifically for Wells Fargo Merchant Services. During this time, they performed comparative analysis between Spanish and English call center procedures, developed process improvement plans, and created Spanish speech categories for actionable call analysis.

Overall, John Bernstein has held positions in software engineering, client service, investment processing, merchandise logistics, and process improvement throughout their career.

John Bernstein completed a .NET Web Application Development Bootcamp at Tech Elevator in 2021. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Economics & Spanish Language from Penn State University, where they studied from 2014 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, John has obtained two certifications: an edX Verified Certificate for Introduction to Computational Thinking and Data Science from edX in June 2020, and an edX Verified Certificate for Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python from edX in July 2019.
