Walt Sharp has had a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Walt began their career in 1966 as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Following their time in the military, they served as the Managing Editor at Alton Telegraph from 1976 to 1996. In 1998, they transitioned to a PR Consultant role at AT&T, where they remained until 2008. From 1996 to 2010, they worked at Fleishman-Hillard as a Senior Vice President and Senior Partner. In 2010, they joined VOX Global as a Senior Vice President and Senior Partner. Additionally, Walt also worked at AT&T as a Communications Consultant during this same time period.
Walt Sharp has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Walt obtained this degree from 1974 to 1977.
