Elissa Cohen is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in the media and publishing sectors. Currently serving as Vice President & Associate General Counsel for Editorial Content Creation and Transactions at Vox Media since October 2019, Elissa has held various roles within the company, including Associate General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel. Prior to Vox Media, Elissa worked at HarperCollins Publishers as Assistant General Counsel from September 2012 to October 2019, and held temporary counsel positions at ABC, Inc./Disney and TheStreet. Elissa's legal career began with law firm roles, including Associate positions at Peikoff Law Office and Schreck Rose Dapello Adams & Hurwitz, along with a legal assistant role at On Screen Entertainment, LLC. Elissa holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School, a Certificate in Comparative Law and International Transactions from Tulane Law School at Trinity College, Cambridge University, and a BA in Film Studies and Political Science from the University of Rochester.
