Lystra Batchoo

Lystra Batchoo serves as the VP & Associate General Counsel at Vox Media, providing legal counsel to revenue-generating functions including ad sales and e-commerce since May 2019. Previously, Lystra held roles at BuzzFeed from September 2016 to May 2019, offering legal guidance across various business units and negotiating contracts including media buys and licensing agreements. Earlier experience includes serving as Staff Attorney at the Advertising Self-Regulatory Council, where Lystra evaluated national advertising campaigns for compliance, and as Senior Litigation Associate at Kelley Drye & Warren LLP, focusing on commercial litigation. Lystra began professional career roles with NPower NY and the Robin Hood Foundation. Lystra earned a BA in History from Columbia University and a JD from Brooklyn Law School.
