Georgina Rizik is a pharmacy advisor who has worked in the field for over 25 years. Georgina began their career as a pharmacy resident at the University Health Network in July of 1994. After completing their residency, they worked as a commercial executive for Global BioPharma. In this role, they were responsible for the global commercialization strategy of pipeline oncology products. In June of 2018, they took on the role of Vice President of Global Oncology Franchise at Ipsen. In this role, they were responsible for the strategic leadership and influencing skills that informed key Go/No-Go decisions for 5 external innovation opportunities across the spectrum of solid tumours. Georgina also championed and implemented a cohesive resource for the Oncology Leadership Team to facilitate informed decision making for the Global Franchise. Georgina has been instrumental in the success of three pipeline products, as evidenced by the evolution of Target Product Profiles and associated market assessments.
Georgina Rizik completed their undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto, where they earned a B.Sc.Phm. in pharmacy. Georgina then went on to complete two Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees, first from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management with a focus in international business, strategy, and marketing, and then from York University - Schulich School of Business. Georgina also has a certification from Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business in corporate education, and another from the London Business School in executive education for high performance people skills for leaders. In addition, Georgina Rizik is certified by the Kellogg Alumni Mentoring Program (KAMP) and the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) as a mentor, and by the Ontario College of Pharmacists and the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada as a licensed pharmacist.
