Sergey Pekarsky

Sergey Pekarsky is an experienced finance professional specializing in credit risk and derivatives. Currently serving as SVP and Head of Credit Risk at Voya Investment Management since 2025, Pekarsky oversees investment risk across various credit sectors. Previously, Pekarsky held the position of Sub-PM at Verition Fund Management LLC, focusing on liquid credit derivatives and market-neutral trading strategies. At BlockFi, Pekarsky was the Head of Crypto Derivatives, providing OTC options and risk management solutions for crypto assets. Additionally, Pekarsky spent 15 years at Greywolf Capital Management as Managing Director, working in structured products and distressed credit. Early career roles included Vice President at CIFG and Analyst/AVP at Moody's Investors Service. Pekarsky has a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Caltech and has pursued studies in theoretical physics and computer science.
