About the job
We are looking for a dynamic and curious individual to join our Credit Operations team as a Verifications Officer. As we continue to grow, this position would be ideal for someone with proven experience in reviewing consumer credit applications, and is looking for a career in a fast paced environment.
You will form a key part of the loan process in ensuring that loans are reviewed and processed within suitable time frames while working closely with the wider Operations team.
Key Responsibilities • Verify and validate that all regulatory and lending policies are adhered to • Review and interpret bank statements to ensure the correct information is disclosed and captured on consumer loan applications • Perform loan serviceability checks as well as identity checks and fraud detection and prevention • Ensure compliance with NCCP, RG209, Privacy Act and AML/CTF • Help contribute to process and policy improvements within the company operations
About you
• Experience in consumer lending is preferred • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in note taking • Sound working knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for consumer lending • Highly organised and adaptable to change • Strong communication and problem-solving skills • Ability to work autonomously • Excellent phone manner and ability to build strong internal and external relationships
