Afton Miller

Afton Miller has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. In 2012, Afton started their career at Hy-Vee, Inc. as a Customer Service Representative, where they handled customer problems, managed cash registers, and assisted with inventory.

In 2016, Afton interned at Youth Shelters and Family Services, gaining practical experience in a social services organization. The same year, they also began working at Iowa State University, first as a part of the ISU Dining - Hawthorn Staff. Their responsibilities included providing customer service, multitasking, and working in various roles such as cashier, cook's help, and barista. Afton also worked at the Department of Residence, where they self-managed and scheduled tasks, set up dorm rooms, and cleaned and organized dorms on the campus.

At Starbucks, Afton held the position of Barista from 2019 to 2020, showcasing their skills in the food and beverage industry.

In 2020, Afton pursued entrepreneurial aspirations and started their own venture, Affie Cafe.

Most recently, Afton joined VoyceMe in 2022 as an Art Lead for Sunshine Cafe, utilizing their artistic talents and leadership skills.

During their time at Iowa State University from 2018 to 2019, Afton worked as a Student Staff member at Thielen Student Health Center, gaining experience in organizing and formatting medical documents and demonstrating knowledge of HIPAA, NextGen, and Wellmark.

Afton Miller attended Iowa State University - College of Human Science from 2015 to 2019. During this time, they pursued a degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Pre-Optometry.
