Jasmine Étoile Aarons

Founder, CEO, Creative Director at VOZ

Jasmine Étoile Aarons has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2006, they worked as a Social Manager and Event Coordinator for Chi Theta Chi Co-operative, where they organized community events and managed administration for a co-operative community. In 2007, they designed graphical interfaces and icons for user-interactive technological systems at Robert Bosch Inc. Jasmine Étoile then worked as a Design Associate at Dieter Design from 2008 to 2009, creating graphic illustrations and physical prototypes for museum exhibits and furniture designs. Jasmine also conducted anthropological design research on ceremonial design in indigenous society during their Stanford Research Institute Fellowship in 2008.

In 2009, they joined Fundacion Chol-Chol as a Production Strategy Consultant and collaborated with Mapuche weavers to develop a contemporary fashion and home product line. From 2010 to 2011, they co-founded Ark221, a company focused on a collaborative design workshop model. Jasmine Étoile also worked as a Product Design and Development Strategy Fellow at Stanford Post-Graduate Haas Fellowship during this time, where they developed design workshops with indigenous women from rural communities in Chile.

In 2011, Jasmine founded VOZ, where they served as the Founder, CEO, and Creative Director. Jasmine Étoile designed and brought to market fashion collections that celebrated indigenous art and culture through fair and sustainable practices. Jasmine Étoile also implemented collaborative design workshops with indigenous women to help build professional skills in rural communities.

Additionally, Jasmine has been a Fellow at Fundación Chile and Start-Up Chile, where they further developed their skills and knowledge. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a passion for cultural understanding and incorporating indigenous techniques into contemporary design.

Jasmine Étoile Aarons began their education at Tamalpais High School from 2000 to 2004. After completing high school, they attended Stanford University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Product Design. In 2007, they briefly studied Furniture Design at the Rhode Island School of Design.
