Paul Thompson is a seasoned public affairs professional with extensive experience in leadership, policy advising, and strategic communications. They have held roles such as Freelance Political and Policy Adviser at Cameron Alexander Public Policy and Head of Parliamentary Affairs at National Grid plc, where they honed their skills in team leadership and stakeholder engagement. Currently the Public Affairs Lead at VPI, Paul focuses on empowering mid-career professionals and new managers through practical tools and mindset shifts to enhance their leadership capabilities. Paul holds a Master's Degree in Law from the University of Essex and completed an Executive Leadership program at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
