Eija Niininen

Eija Niininen currently serves as the People & Culture Lead at VR Group since August 2025, previously holding significant HR leadership roles at Neste from January 2023 to August 2025, where responsibilities included aligning HR strategy with business objectives and driving capability development. Eija has extensive experience as HR Director at Vaisala, managing operations for Finland and globally, and at Outotec, providing HR leadership across various regions and business areas. Early career experiences include roles at Blue1 and Stockmann. Eija holds a Master of Economic Sciences from Hanken School of Economics and educational credentials from Uppsala University and Helsingin suomalainen yhteiskoulu.
